The Association "Smeriglio" organizes at Smerillo, Saturday, 31 May 2008 hours 19.00, an evening entitled "Bio-logical", dedicated to organic food.
The evening will begin with a Conference-Debate on the theme: "The organic products: from earth to table" with speakers Dr. Avelio Marini (Alderman Agriculture of the Province of Ascoli Piceno) and P. A. Michele Grossi (Regional Head of control "Soil and Health"), moderator Dr. Agr. Antonio Vallesi.
Followed by a marketplace of organic food of our territory and a dinner entirely based on organic products at the restaurant "Le Logge"of Smerillo

THE HERBS OF THE TASTE AND OF MYSTERIES
Salvia, juniper, laurel, tarassaco, chicory, nettle: These aromatic plants used as spice in our typical kitchen, along with other wild varieties, are the protagonists of three tasted weekend in the summer.
"The herbs od the taste and of mysteries" represents an important opportunity to learn how to recognize, discover and enjoy the tasty herbs that were used in ancient dishes from the culinary tradition.

REVIEW CINEMA IN THE OPEN AIR
Under the starry mantle of fresh nights at the turn of August, the evenings of "Review cinema in the open air" represent an appointment not to be missed.
The choice of films always meets the public that large part enthusiastic.
Immancabile tour de force of cinematic until dawn on Aug. 15, repaid by a nice breakfast.
CASTAGNATA IN PIAZZA:
Among the most important events of Smerillo the "Castagnata in Piazza" is certainly the most famous. Every third Sunday in October, it is back to revive a tradition where the chestnuts are the protagonists. Prepared in many different ways: roasted, holded in chocolate and wrapped in honey, are the principal ingredient of imaginative desserts and ice cream gourmands are the queens of tasty pasta dishes and tasty meat. Many gourmets tourists who come from all parts of the region and contribute to the creation of that particular air of feast for the country's road.

Evening of Music and Poetry with readings of the poet Gabriella Gianfelici, musical accompaniment by Cristian Nuncios, introduce and present John Zamponi and Cesare Catà Free admission.
The evening will continue to dinner in the restaurant "Le Logge" of Smerillo with poetic pause and accompanying live.

MARCH OF SOLIDARITY
The "Solidarity March" takes place every first Sunday of May and is a way to meet everybody, young and old, to spend a day of solidarity between stories of volunteer experiences in poor countries and walks in the woods with moments of music, poetry, songs and testimonies.
A big event of solidarity to help those in greatest need.

17 May 2008, h 15:00: ON THE TRACKS OF THE MIDDLE AGES
Saturday, May 17, 2008, the Association Smeriglio organizes "On the tracks of the Middle Ages" an intinery art-historical between the architectural structures of high medieval Valley Tenna, led by Prof.. Enrico Giannini. Departure from Smerillo at 15.00 hours by bus (free on request) or from the Sanctuary of the'Ambro at 15.30, with their vehicles. At the end of the trail, at 19.30 hours to Smerillo, a live concert of medieval music and to follow a dinner menu typical of the time, with musical accompaniment at the Restaurant "Le Logge" of Smerillo (ON RESERVATIONS TO 0734 / 79129).
The price of the dinner is: 25,00 €
